The move comes as ClearBank evolves from its 2017 startup origins, moving into profit in October 2022 and trebling its revenue compared to the same period last year.
Output were brought onboard to create a brand identity and digital experience which would establish ClearBank as a category leader, position them alongside household name tech brands as a vital partner, lay the foundations to become a global infrastructure, and be seen as an inspirational tech employer, through a clear proposition and rich on-site content.

Clear design language
ClearBank’s new design language captures the balance of advanced technology and the people behind it. The mathematically optimised wordmark, customised brand typeface and spacious layouts combine with natural photography of the expert team, communicating a refreshing sense of clarity.
Visualising the unseen
ClearBank provides the infrastructure behind many financial institutions: from high street banks, to consumer-facing neobanks and the future of crypto. Output worked closely with the team to articulate their services into a set of four products, showing exactly what ClearBank offers its customers.
Introducing use cases
Output helped ClearBank define ‘use cases’ that show its impact on different financial sectors — growing fintechs quickly, giving traditional banks the infrastructure to compete or establishing new technologies like crypto. These first-hand stories validate the powerful service by connecting ClearBank’s proposition to relatable business needs.
To reposition ClearBank as a market leader their website was transformed. Together with the Output team, they outlined a tailored information architecture, defined distinct services and developed use cases to show the impressive credibility they have established over the last five years. Eligibility flows onboard potential clients and amplifies lead generation, helping ClearBank deliver on its ambitious proposition.
The rebrand was launched with phase 2 of the website build last week and features across all ClearBank’s digital platforms and physical marketing materials.
